Brett Lawrie, originally from Canada, now lives and creates in the woods of Northern Michigan. He’s a graduate of Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts, now the College for Creative Studies. Often described as a recluse, he doesn't have an online or social media presence outside of our website. Brett works as builder which lends itself to unique nature of his sculptures that incorporate a lot of high quality and unique building materials. He draws and paints but all his recent work incorporates some 3D sculptural elements. Subject matter heavily involves the planetary as it’s a major fascination for him. He spends a lot of time outdoors and even creates ice sculptures of planet surfaces.
