Natalie Ciccoricco is a fiber artist who loves to experiment with thread, yarn and rope in combination with different materials, such as paper, ephemera, ink, sticks and rocks. In her work, she has an intuitive approach to use these materials in unexpected new ways. With Mother Nature as her muse, she challenges herself to play with the juxtaposition between organic and geometrical shapes and compositions. Her artworks are deeply personal and allow her to express herself beyond words.
While being under quarantine at home, Natalie Ciccoricco started creating geometric embroidery artworks on paper. This resulted in her Nesting series: An ongoing exercise to find beauty and hope in challenging times. These mini Nesting artworks are a smaller rendition of this series, in which the artist experiments with new compositions, materials and color palettes.
