acryla gouache and colored pencil on paper

5" x 5"

framed to 9.5" x 9.5"

This piece is inspired by "The Elephant Vanishes", a story by Haruki Murakami.  It was Yelena's first introduction to Murakami when she was a teenager, and has stayed with her ever since. Tiny elephants appeared in her work for several years after she discovered it, and may again in the future.
