Yelena Bryksenkova is an illustrator and fine artist whose work often features scenes of daily life, nature, and people and animals in repose.
This series of paintings is inspired by a summer of foraging and dyeing with sumac berries. It's an ode to the shrub's remarkable color properties, as well as a record of various new passions and skills cultivated by the artist during the pandemic.
