Lily Raymond (b. 1984) is a painter living in Maine. She studied drawing and painting at the University of New Hampshire and has exhibited work in solo and group shows.
About this collection: "Sometimes in the process of composing a still life I find myself fabricating an object from a photograph—something I want to use but don’t have access to. So I make a rough approximation out of paper or cardboard taped together to take up the dimensions of the original. This series developed from that kind of thing-forging, and my interest in the connections that form between objects."
