Justin Santora grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in studio art and secondary education. Instead of pursuing a career as a teacher, Santora began working as a freelance illustrator and screen printer like some of Chicago’s well-known rock poster artists. Justin has been producing screen printed posters, art, paintings, and illustrations professionally since 2008. Much of Santora’s work is focused around images of quiet rural or suburban settings, construction, decay, architecture, and large open spaces. His approach is also informed by an interest in construction, decay, environmentalism, and animal rights, as well as a lifelong passion for skateboarding and punk rock. Santora has exhibited work in various cities in North America, Europe, and Asia. He currently lives in Chicago where he continues to draw and paint in his home studio.

This piece is from Justin's September 2023 collection, "Nothing Stays the Same: New Landscapes by Justin Santora." In his own words: "This is a collection of new landscapes that are meditations on navigating an ever changing world."
