This print was made of a piece from Seth Clark's  collection Places We Could Live II, which presents a striking variation on Clark’s nearly ten year obsession with architectural collage. In this collection of Forts he depends less on the representational urban decay that often appears in his work and instead turns to the colors, patterns and forms of his imagination.

The images are created through an ambitious layering process. Once a dimensional foundation is achieved through collage, various mixed media are used to bring definition and depth to the paper. The processes of collage and drawing alternate between themselves lending to a seamless blend of the two mediums.

Seth Clark grew up in Seekonk, Massachusetts and studied close to home in Providence at the Rhode Island School of Design. He earned his BFA in Graphic Design, focusing primarily on print design and alternative typography. During this time, he discovered collage. This method of hands-on, spatial development took a major role in his digital work as well as his physical works on wood and paper.  He currently lives and works out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
