Wendy Whatley works as a visual designer for a tech company by day and on the side, she explores nature themes, which have roots in her upbringing in the lush woods of Virginia. After some time with watercolor and ceramics, she was inspired to translate that same language into a new medium, paper, which allows her to delve deeper into an abstract space with graphic shapes and textures.

"I was eager to create this second paper series and get further into this medium that I am still exploring and as always, I am drawing inspiration from the outdoors. This round, I decided to add in a contrasting background which highlights the graphic aspects of these elements within these natural compositions." -WW
