Before homesteading in Maine, Liz Martone of EFM Studio honed her craft of mosaic in NYC. She is unafraid to mix the urban edge of her upbringing with the rural sensibilities of Maine’s coastline, resulting in her series of glass gemstones. “Gems are glitzy, but they also come from the earth. It’s a combination of my two worlds.” Always experimenting with styles and sizes her work is a constant dance of color and shape and light that will never fade.
