Mike Gough was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. He received a B.F.A. from Sir Wilfred Grenfell College and went on to earn an M.F.A from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, England. He was the recipient of the Laura Ciruls Painting Fund in 2020 and the winner of the Excellence in Visual Arts (EVA) People’s Choice Award in 2015. He currently resides in St. John, NL.
