Seven months in Maine and the rest mostly in NYC, Jeff eagerly greets the world around him. A bitter winter wind rounding 7th Avenue to a golden September morning, each foray turns on the engine within. For Jeff the last series of paintings have been more open and experimentally romantic. His paintings are built on color relationships and brushstrokes. He feels the paintings look to find zeal and foundation, life is on canvas , in the in between.
