Melissa Ambrose is a New England artist currently living on the seacoast of New Hampshire. She holds a BFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design and spends her days working as a Creative Director. Her work is primarily done in acrylic on panel and focuses on light and atmosphere. When she's not painting or designing, she can be found playing her cello in the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra and gazing at any and all planes and clouds that happen to be flying or floating overhead.
In Melissa's March 2022 solo web show, Pregnant Pause, she attempts to capture small moments in her daily life. Hazy views of the local landscape, snapshots from her commute, and explorations of the ever-changing sky. This body of work serves as a time capsule for preserved moments during her first pregnancy.
