Details: Six colors chosen with intent: a warm and a cool from each primary, arranged in a split-primary system that mixes far more intensely than the usual three. Each is poured into a hand-cast porcelain pan holding 20 grams — about seven times a standard half pan — made in St. Louis, triple-milled for clump-free flow, and lightfast enough to hang. A few drops of water gives bold, saturated marks; more opens them into soft washes. A seventh empty pan comes along for mixing.
