Em Randall is a painter and illustrator based in Northern Michigan. Her work primarily focuses on figures who strike a balance between memory and myth, often inspired by folklore, personal nostalgia, and collective symbolism.
This collection has no title, but was a practice in return to center--working with a medium (stencil and spray paint) that I did a ton of as a teenager with limited resources, and bridging it with what my illustrations have become today.
A note from the artist: Neon colors are hard to capture using photography. The acrylic spray paint "ghost" layers are much more of a bright neon pink in person.
Medium: Acrylic spray paint and gouache on paper
Dimensions:
8” x 10” unframed
8.5” x 10.5” framed
Framed
Michigan, USA
