"The Overwhelm"
This is the work I was in the midst of when my mother, Janice, passed unexpectedly. I had already been thinking about my experience of the “too muchness” of life. In all the good and bad ways. And then, after such a devastating loss, the overwhelming sense of absence was a stark contradiction and validation of that emotion. There is too much and yet, never enough.
Jessica will be donating 15% of the proceeds from the sale of this piece to Beloved Asheville, supporting relief efforts for those impacted by the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.
