Lily Raymond (b. 1984) is a painter living in Maine. She studied drawing and painting at the University of New Hampshire and has exhibited work in solo and group shows.

ETA 36. Sometimes I wonder what it is in an object that I just can’t quite get in a painting. And sometimes I look at a painting of a thing and think that it has something that isn’t in the original object. This series is me trying to figure that out. How to get more of the object into the painting, and more of the painting into the object.
