Wanru was born in China. In 2011 she moved to Thailand. After living in Bangkok for five years, she started a new adventure in Canada. Wanru received academic art training from her father when she was nine. Her style is based on the tradition of Chinese landscape painting while also containing an inventive twist of watercolour technique that is unique and contemporary. Her recent work is inspired by the Canadian landscapes and the philosophy of Sunyata. And the inaudible clouds are the forceful source of her creations.

This piece is part of Wanru's ETA #32 collection. "After I die, some of the water that used to be in my body will become clouds. I think that is the most romantic way of thinking about death." - WK
